ISTHA I-88 Widening and Reconstruction – Finley Road to Route 83

The Illinois Tollway rebuilt and widened the 5-mile section of the Reagan Memorial Tollway (I-88) between Finley Road and IL Route 83 to reduce congestion for Tollway customers. This project was one of several underway throughout a 23-mile corridor from Oak Brook to North Aurora. The work was part of the Tollway’s Congestion-Relief Program to reduce travel times. The widening and reconstruction of I-88 from IL Route 83 to Finley Road project consisted of the expansion of lanes from six to eight and replacing  the 50 year old pavement with a more durable 13″ Jointed Plain Concrete (JPC) pavement section.

CivCon Services, Inc., as part of the Construction Management Team, provided construction engineering services. Duties included field inspection and measurements and documentation of construction activities.
