The U.S. Route 30 (Lincoln Highway) east of Williams Street to U.S. Route 45 (96th Avenue) and U.S. Route 45 to IL-43 (Harlem Avenue) Reconstruction project consists of roadway widening and reconstruction to accommodate four lanes divided with a barrier median. Work includes providing two twelve foot lanes in each direction separated by a twenty-two foot wide raised curb median throughout the limits, an addition of a twelve foot wide bi-directional turn lane utilized from Williams Street to the west entrance to Lincoln-Way High School, noise wall installation at warranted locations between Williams Street to U.S. Route 45, widening of the existing bridge over Hickory Creek to accommodate pavement widening, construction of combination concrete curb and gutter with a new storm sewer drainage system and ditches and completion of the median construction at the intersection of Wolf Road.
CivCon Services, Inc., as part of the Construction Management Team, provides construction engineering services. Duties include field inspection and measurements and documentation of construction activities. CivCon participates as a Protégé on this contract and is being mentored by the Prime Consultant in the areas of Assistant Resident Engineering and Materials Coordination.
