The $2.5B Chicago Region Environmental and Transportation Efficiency (CREATE) Program is managed by the Illinois Department of Transportation Bureau of Railroads. A project of national and regional significance, CREATE will invest billions in critically needed capital improvements to increase the efficiency of the region’s rail infrastructure. CREATE will reduce train and auto delays throughout the Chicago area by focusing rail traffic on four rail corridors that will be improved to handle passenger and freight traffic more efficiently.
CivCon Services, Inc., as part of the Program Management Team, provides financial management and cost control, environmental documentation review and construction administration for the CREATE Program. Duties include the preparation of quarterly and annual TIGER ARRA Funding reports, weekly updates and reporting of project budgets and maintaining Program Performance Dashboard (PPD) which carries detailed financial information about all phases of each project within CREATE. Additional duties include planning support for oversight and management of subconsultants for Phase I planning review and coordination.
