CTA Loop Track Renewal Project – Wells and Van Buren

The $34M CTA Loop Track Renewal Project – Wells and Van Buren Power and Way Construction project consists of track renewal along the Wells and Van Buren legs of the Elevated Loop, including Tower 18 and Tower 12 Junctions, and Hubbard Curve along the Brown Line. New components include ties, running rail, rail fasteners, guard rail, restraining rail, miscellaneous track material, contact rail, contact rail insulators and anchors, footwalk, track access stairs, control panels, switch machines, rail lubricators, traction power and signal cabling. Special track work includes Tower 12 and Tower 18 Junctions, new double crossover near Washington and Wells and replacement of left hand and right hand crossovers near Adams and Wabash.

CivCon Services, Inc., as part of the Construction Management Team provides Office Engineering and Project Controls support assisting the Project Controls Manager with contractor pay requisition review, submittal and RFI processing and other document control duties. This project is managed via the web with the clients preferred software – E-builder.
